Questions About the Firm

Questions about the work itself are answered on the Services FAQs page.

Which consultant will we work with?

Jennifer and/or Rebekah lead every case. You’re not handed to a junior associate after the first call. We keep our roster small intentionally so that we can provide you the care and service you deserve. Whether Jennifer or Rebekah leads your case depends on your child’s needs and consultant availability.

Do programs pay you to recommend them?

No - not now, not ever. We accept no compensation from any school or program we recommend. What we suggest is what we believe is right for your child.

Do you work with clients nationwide?

Yes. We also support International clients seeking therapeutic support resources and placement.

While we are based in Connecticut and work closely with clients in New York and the Northeast corridor, we have clients from all over the US and in Europe, Asia, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Middle East.

What are your credentials?

Jennifer holds an MSW from Columbia University with a clinical concentration, trained in SPACE at the Yake Child Study Center Anxiety Program, and is a Certified Parent Coach.

Rebekah holds an EdM in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Non-Traditional Learning Environments from Regis University. She has spent 25 years in education as a classroom teacher, division head (Head of Lower School, Indian Mountain), consultant, and board member, and founded The Peak School in Colorado.

How do you know the program you recommend?

We visit them. We’re on the road most months, walking campuses and meeting the people who run the program, and we regularly attend conferences and professional development to stay current on clinical and educational practice.

What makes you different from other consultants?

Most firms do school placement or therapeutic placement. Some firms do both, but have more training in one path than the other. We have real depth in both therapeutic and academic placement, and the space in between. A family who arrives in crisis and later needs a school placement will receive the same high degree of expertise in both spaces.
